Lomb Memorial Drive

Named for a man, Carl Lomb, whose never-ending concern for youth helped make RIT what it is today, Lomb Memorial Drive stands as an inspiration to students, so they may enter adult life with as much strength in character as they have strength in education.

Mr. Lomb was the President of the Board of Trustees at RAMI for 23 years. At the time of his death, then President of RIT, Mark Ellingson said "The personal and educational ideals of Carl Lomb reflected a clear-cut understanding of the basic issues of life. He believed that intelligence and industry should be applied to the day's work and that excellence should be pursued in every task."
