Lowenthal Road

Lowenthal Road is one of the main entrances from Jefferson Road into the campus. It is named in honor of Max Lowenthal, who was one of the original founders and trustees of the Mechanics Institute. He founded the Rochester Knitting Works in 1868. Mr. Lowenthal also served on the Board of Trustees for 29 years (1885-1914).
