Bruce And Nora James Atrium

Bruce James and his wife, Nora, donated generously toward the 1998 addition to the Gosnell Building. The couple commissioned the artwork for the atrium of the Center for Excellence in Mathematics, Science and Technology in the Gosnell Building. Etched in the black granite fioor of the atrium is the work of internationally known artist Larry Kirkland, who selected symbols representing milestones in the history of science for his art.

Mr. James graduated from RIT's School of Printing Management and Sciences. He joined the RIT Board of Trustees in 1994 and in 2002 became chair. Mr. James had the honor of being selected by President Bush for the post of Public Printer of the United States in 2002.
