Jack and Norma Erdle

Erdle Commons, an area for students to study and gather socially, named for Jack and Norma Erdle. Their generous gift made to RIT is commemorated with their name on a new facility. This beautiful, glass-enclosed area serves as an informal gathering space for students and faculty at the entrance to the  Gleason Hall. Mr. Erdle is founder and chairman of the board of Eldre Corp., headquartered in Henrietta, N.Y.
Jack was extraordinarily philanthropic throughout his life. He believed in giving back to the community where he made his success. He was a significant donor to: Rochester General & Strong Memorial Hospitals, University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, Nazareth College, Temple Beth El, the Jewish Federation, the Jewish Home, the JCC, Jewish Family Service & many other Institutions and Individuals were the beneficiaries of his generosity.
