Lowenthal Road

Lowenthal Road is one of the main entrances from Jefferson Road into the campus.It is named in honor of Max Lowenthal, who was one of the original founders and trustees of the Mechanics Institute.

Perkins Road

Named in honor of Charles Perkins, who was one of the original founders and who served as the first vice president of the Athenaeum. He had the honor of delivering the newly formed Institute's first opening address on July 20th, 1829.
